Special Book Signing Event

Sunday Nov. 23rd at 1pm

Join us next Sunday for a special book signing event at CHWW. Our very own Bill Ellis has written an introductory wine book which he will be signing along with a forward written by Mike Fritze, owner and winemaker at CHWW. It will take place in the new event room along with a lecture and accompanied by our sparkling Rose and thumbprint cookies filled with our very own Petit Verdot jam. Tickets are on our website and will be $10/pp.

Loudoun Wine Competition

Carriage House Wineworks was excited to receive one Gold and two Silver Medals at this year’s Loudoun Wine Competition.

2025 Governor’s Cup Awards

We are excited to share that Carriage House had 4 wines recognized in the 2025 Governor’s Cup! Our 2022 Petit Manseng received a gold medal and our 2022 Petit Verdot Reserve received a gold medal and Best in Category. Silver medals were given to the 2022 Petit Verdot Estate and the 2023 Shelly!

40th Anniversary Collaboration Wine

This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the Loudoun wine industry. A significant milestone in the region’s viticultural history, this highlights four decades of growth, innovation and excellence in winemaking. It signifies the resilience of Loudoun’s wine industry and its establishment as a prominent player in the global wine market.

This anniversary is not just about wine; it’s about celebrating the community behind it. It recognizes the hard work of local vineyard owners, winemakers and enthusiasts who have contributed to the region’s success. And, as this special blend showcases, the collaboration that brings shared achievements and strengthens the bonds within the Loudoun wine community.

As Loudoun wine commemorates its 40th year, it’s a moment to reflect on the journey thus far and to envision the future. Today, the county known as DC’s Wine Country® is home to more than 50 wineries and vineyards and was described by Decanter Magazine in 2021 as “the most exciting corner of Virginia and among the most intriguing in US wine.”

October is Virginia Wine Month. To celebrate we will be serving this special wine in our tasting room!
